Formula E Predictor tips for the 2020 CBMM Niobium Mexico City E-Prix

With the new Formula E Predictor launching ahead of the 2020 CBMM Niobium Mexico City E-Prix, we take a look back at the 'perfect score' line-up from last season's madcap race in Mexico.

E-Prix Winner - Lucas di Grassi

The 2019 Mexico City E-Prix was a masterclass in calculated driving from Lucas di Grassi. You'll have seen the countless replays of his final lap move to take the win as he crossed the line. The Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler driver has good form in Mexico City, with two victories around the legendary Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit.

Julius Baer Pole Position - Pascal Wehrlein

Pascal Wehrlein secured the Julius Baer Pole Position in Mexico City last season. The Mahindra Racing rookie went out in qualifying group two and set a time that withstood two further packs of Formula E drivers. Wehrlein then improved on his time and converted his place in the Super Pole shootout to start the E-Prix from the front of the grid.

Fastest Race Lap - Pascal Wehrlein

Already demonstrating his speed in Mexico City as the pole-sitter for the E-Prix, Pascal Wehrlein broke the official race lap record on his way to the securing one point for the Fastest Lap, with a time of 1:01.112. The German's pace was strong in Mexico, consistently lapping within the 1:01 to 1:02 bracket for the majority of the race.

1st ATTACK MODE - Sebastien Buemi

Sebastien Buemi took the first ATTACK MODE in Mexico City while trailing the BMW i8 Safety Car, following a race restart after a huge crash between Nelson Piquet Jr. and Jean-Eric Vergne. Failing to capitalise on the additional 25kW, the Swiss driver would eventually end the race at the back of the pack.

Last Race Finisher - Sebastien Buemi

Running in the points in fourth, Buemi was in a hard fight with team-mate Oliver Rowland for a podium finish. However, the Nissan e.dams squad miscalculated the energy required for the E-Prix, expecting a flat-out race to the line, and both drivers ran out of usable power with one lap to go, relegating then both down the order with Buemi ending up as the last race finisher.
